Bristol Noir has been cool enough to publish a number of different stories and types of stories by me over the past few years, but this 2,000+ word new story titled “Always Knew It Would Be Like This” is probably the closest I’ve come to actual noir tone and style in my paying homage to Walter Mosely and Bukowski’s novel, Pulp, while giving it my own flair and I hope I’ve done the genre some justice in this tale. I encourage any Chandler traditionalists as well as other readers who like me, enjoy a little hybridization in their lit, to check it out and see what they think.
