Mad Swirl was the last publication to publish anything of mine in 2024, a short story titled “Phoenix ER (Sur)Reality” on December 28, 2024. I’m very happy because Mad Swirl is one of my favorite magazines and because I’ve worked and worked and wrote and rewrote this piece and I like how it turned out and am glad someone else did too, so thanks dear Mad Swirl editors!

I already have more stuff coming down the pike in 2025, and I also have more things to post right now, such as the (late) results of my 2024 Goodreads Reading Challenge, etc. There should be much more but I’m pressed for time these days, so I hope you all had a great holiday season and that you’ll check out this story in Mad Swirl.
