Hi. It’s been a few days since I’ve written a book review. Sorry. I tend to read a number of books at the same time, so it takes me longer to wade through individual books. Also, I’m in the middle of several very long books right now, including Keith Richards’ Life, a bio on J Edgar Hoover, bios on Lyndon Johnson and Dwight Eisenhower, and another on Timothy Leary. I’m also reading a book on David Bowie, a new book by Rob Bell (which is a bit disappointing so far), and I’m a couple of hundred pages into the 1100 page Cryptonomicon. Also, I started a new sci fi book by Piers Anthony yesterday. Apparently it’s quite controversial. So I’ll finish some of these some time and write new book reviews. Just bear with me. I have 176 followers, but the only posts I write that actually get hits are the book reviews, so I know they’re in somewhat high demand. I’ll do my best. Oh yeah, I’ve also been asked to write two book reviews for the magazine I co-edit. Those books should be arriving in the mail this week, I guess. I have a review coming out in the next issue of Ray’s Road Review, the magazine I mentioned. It’s due out on the first day of summer. The review will be on a book of poetry by Mark Jackley. I doubt I’ll repost it here, but I might put a link to it here. I think it’s a fairly good review. But I’m biased. Heh. It’s Sunday. I hope to get substantial reading time in today. I’m about halfway through the Richards book, about a third of the way through the Bowie and Hoover books. I’ll eventually get there. Just bear with me please. Cheers!
