Pittsburgh Penguins vs. New York Islanders – Recap – May 05, 2013 – ESPN.
This was a very stress inducing game for me to watch. NY went up 2-0 early, only to have the Pens tie it on two quick power play goals. After a third goal, we went into the first intermission up 3-2. In the second period, we scored another goal to go up 4-2. However, in the third period, our defense fell apart once again and the Islanders scored two to even it at 4-4. So it went into overtime. I was about to have a cow. Fortunately, Sidney Crosby fed Chris Kunitz a sweet pass to score the winning goal so that Pittsburgh won 5-4, going up 2-1 in the series. The next game is tomorrow and I have a feeling it’s going to be brutal. Our defense is so bad, that I’m really worried the #1 seeded Penguins could lose the series to the #8 seeded Islanders. I hope I’m wrong. We need to play better.
For your sake, I hope the next game is less stressful. (and for your wife’s sake as well) 😉
